Day 1 — Your VIP greeter will be waiting when you touch down at the international airport, and we'll get you on your way to La Fortuna and Arenal volcano. Private bungalows await at Silencio del Campo, each with view across tropical gardens to volcán Arenal from their picture windows and private patios. Relax in the private hot spring fed pool then cool down in the separate adults or kids swimming pools.

Day 2 — Arenal is the third most active volcano in the world and erupts every 5-10 minutes. Each eruption could be anything from a little ash to giant boulders and tons of lava and in the late afternoon a bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a short hike through the rainforest to the closest safe observation point where you'll have a chance to view the glow emerge on the cone as the sun sets.

Optional - This evening is the perfect opportunity if you'd like to visit Tabacón or other hotsprings for a relaxing dinner and soak.

Day 3 — Today is an awesome day of explosive adventure, rafting on the Rio Toro.

Expert bilingual guides will help you navigate through rushing class III & IV rapids on one of Costa Rica's premier whitewater rivers. This fun adventure is not for the faint of heart, but professional kayakers accompany the rafts to pull you to safety in case you bail. Lunch included.

Land-Boat-Land Transfer to Monteverde
Day 4 — Why drive when you can do the famous Land-Boat-Land shortcut to Monteverde? A short drive from your hotel there's a boat waiting to take you on a 45 minute cruise across Lake Arenal on the way there are vantage points that provide some of the best unobstructed views of the volcano. A waiting transfer will take you up the mountainside to your cloud forest accommodations at Monteverde.

Nestled in the cloud forest, the Trapp Family Lodge is the closest to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and the only one within walking distance. Each room has a view into the tree tops and you'll enjoy birds and other wildlife that don't really notice where the official boundary of the reserve is and end up outside your windows.

Day 5 — Today you will go on a thrilling ATV adventure through the hills of Monteverde. Strap on your helmet and hit the throttle on your quad to head out exploring the Costa Rican countryside on back roads and trails.

Day 6 — Be sure to eat a light breakfast! You're headed to the tree tops for a high speed, high flying canopy zipline adventure. Defy gravity soaring through the canopy of the cloud forest on 16 separate cables and top off your adventure with a swing on an enormous Tarzan Swing!

Day 7 — The Falls Resort at Manuel Antonio is a refreshing new approach to luxury accommodations in Manuel Antonio. The resort is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and waterfalls, providing a serene environment and splendid views. Day 8 — There is an eponymous "Playa Manuel Antonio", but the region boasts half a dozen beaches each with a character of its own. From the little arcing gems of Escondido and Manuel Antonio within the national park, backed by palms and rain forest giants teaming with wildlife to the Espadillas stretching long and flat north of the park entrance, backed by casual restaurants and surfside bars and teaming with volleyball players and sunbathers there's one perfect for everyone.

Optional - Surf school with board rental is just one of the many other options if lounging on the beach with a cool drink just sounds too relaxing for you.

Day 9 — The ultimate intimate tropical jungle experience in the rain forest as you, your bilingual guide and team work your way from top to bottom of the Río Quebrada de Arroyo on a canyoning adventure through pools and streams making your way across an Indiana Jones swinging bridge to waterfalls over 100 feet high where you'll gear-up and rappel down!

All safety gear, transportation, a trained guide and a hearty typical lunch are included.

Day 10 — The entrance to the Manuel Antonio region, Quepos, has plenty of restaurants, bars, surf shops, souvenir vendors and other tourist geared shopping, and if you look a little closer you'll find a lot of the original fishing village character still intact. The mercado central still has the traditional fruit, fish, meat and vegetable stalls as well as an assortment of excellent sodas to sample.

In the afternoon you can finish off your tropical tanning on the beach or choose from a wide range of optional activities including a sunset cruise, riverboat rides, rafting, snorkeling, hiking, biking, jet skiing, parasailing, and fishing

Day 11 — You've got to head back sometime so today we'll arrange for you to arrive at the international airport three hours prior to your flight home. Thank you for traveling with us and of course ¡Pura Vida!
