Rincón de La Vieja Volcano National Park is one of the undiscovered jewels of Costa Rica and Hacienda Guachipelín Ranch the perfect place to stay while discovering it. Once you arrive you're not going to want to leave - but you will because tropical waters of Playa Mal País on the southern Nicoya Penisula beckon.

Day 1 — Hacienda Guachipelín (3 Nights)more photos >>Hacienda Guachipelín (3 Nights)
After your VIP welcome at the international airport your Costa Rica adventure begins as you travel up the slopes of Rincón de la Vieja to Hacienda Guachipelín Adventure Ranch. A working horse and cattle ranch combined with an ecotourism center featuring canyon exploration from above on zip-lines and tarzan swings and from below in inner tubes or rafts; plus natural hot springs, virgin rain forests, jungle waterfalls and volcanic mud pots.

Day 2 — Cañon Canopy Tour Cañon Canopy Tour
There are hundreds of zip-lines in Costa Rica, but the Canyon Canopy Adventure is like no other. Soar on over and through a slickrock canyon in the midst of the endangered tropical dry forest. Then slip on your five tennies because you'll need the traction for the rock climbing and rappelling segments. People who've tried dozens of canopy tours invariably claim this as their favorite.

Day 3 — White Water Tubing Adventure!
Another awesome day of adventure! You've flown high above the canyon, now dive right in! Professional guides will lead you on a white water tubing adventure on the Río Negro down slick rock slides, through class I and II rapids and into calm sections where you won't be able to resist rolling out of your tube and into the welcoming warm water.

Day 4 — Beja Flor Resort (3 Nights)more photos >>Beja Flor Resort (3 Nights)
Next you're off to Beja Flor Boutique Hotel in Mal País, on the Pacific coast of the southern Nicoya Peninsula for a few days of excellent surf in the sun and nights in the local beachfront club scene. Your deluxe room features an open air shower and hammock terrace, and you'll delight in the oasis of the cool pool side cabañas and restaurant or at morning yoga classes on the open hardwood platform.

Day 5 — Southern Nicoya Surf School
You might not hang ten by the end of the day, but even if you've never been on a board you'll be up riding waves with concentration and a little luck. Learn to surf or improve your skills with a professional instructor in the morning then keep the board and practice makes perfect with waves washing in all day long.

Day 6 — Cabo Blanco Nature Reservemore photos >>Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve
Today is yours to explore and our top recommendation is the trails and deserted beaches of Cabo Blanco National Park. This was the first national reserve in Costa Rica—its founding in 1963 was the initial step in the development of the country’s extensive national park system.

Day 7 — Adiós ¡Hasta Luego!
It's tough to leave the beach (let us know and we can add few more days if you'd like) but superior service start to finish gets you to the international airport 3 hours before your scheduled departure.
