The entrance to the lodge is up a steep hill paved with rocks; it would help to have a car with fairly high clearance. Not to be missed is the wood sculpture of Rafael (Macho) Elizondo of El Pelícano (see below). This prolific artist sees birds, people, and animals in wood and stone, and does what is necessary to bring out what he sees. He does not sell his artesanía, but sometimes trades with other crafters.
