Offers courses in tropical biology and conservation, sustainable design (architecture, landscape architecture, resource management, community design and planning, public health, Spanish, and Costa Rican culture. These courses are linked to on-going research and community programs.The Festival Sol y Música de Monteverde, held on weekends in March and April, is a wonderful chance to hear some of Costa Rica’s best musicians. Concerts range from New Age, jazz, Afro-Caribbean, to folk groups. Don’t miss it. Bring warm clothing.Be sure to find out what’s happening at the Galerón Cultural Center in Cerro Plano. Among its presentations are the 40-person Ballet Mexicano, international choral groups, film festivals, and many other cultural events. It offers daily yoga classes and an art gallery. The cultural center is next to Flor de Vida vegetarian restaurant.
