Hotel Ara Ambigua is a great, inexpensive place for families. It’s back from the main road so it’s quiet, and has a pool, volleyball court, a small lake for fishing, and plenty of green areas and trails. Their restaurant, La Casona, is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
