Is a beautiful rainforest reserve overlooking the ocean. The breezy cabins all have great ocean views, and the food is wholesome and well-prepared. All materials used in construction are natural and display their innate beauty. Rocks of all shapes, sizes, and hues inspire the architecture. There are not many coastal areas (besides Corcovado) where virgin forest comes right down to the beach as it does here, and visitors will be rewarded with many bird and wildlife sightings. There is a waterfall-fed swimming hole in the forest. A 20-minute hike on the Los Raices trail leads to beautiful Playa del Arco. La Cusinga is definitely a place for people who are self-sufficient and in good physical condition, and prefer a quiet environment. The owners have done just enough to make the buildings and trails comfortable and safe, without taking away from the direct experience of nature.
