On the right, 800 meters down the “Zeta Trece” road, has five comfortable cabinas near its regenerated rainforest reserve, an attractive open air restaurant for guests, and a series of exhibits about rainforest butterflies, frogs, snakes and insects. The owner, José, is fascinated with these denizens of the rainforest has consulted many biologists in the design of his exhibits. He has created four pond environments that attract different types of frogs. And sure enough, frogs have come seeking their own little piece of paradise. You can see the poison dart frogs during the day, and nocturnal species on the night tour. The frogs are free to come and go, but the snake and tarantula exhibits are enclosed. There is a birding tour at 5 a.m. Recommended.
