Text©Beatrice Blake-New Key to Costa Rica Rainmaker is a private 1500-acre reserve protecting part of the Quepoa biological corridor used by migrating birds and animals. It also protects the streams that supply some of Manuel Antonio’s water. In a well-run tour, visitors learn about rainforest botany on a guided hike along one of these streams to several magnificent waterfalls, ending at a swimming hole. A circular canopy walk along suspension bridges gives beautiful views of the forest, ocean, and waterfalls. Other tours include an amphibian/reptile night tour and an early morning birding tour.
