A wonderland of gardens, waterfalls, and cascading pools. Our kids loved the waterslide; there is a quieter pool for people over 18 as well. The Rico Tico, a swim-up bar and grill, serves Tico and Tex-Mex food and icy fruit smoothies. The air-conditioned restaurant, Claro Que Sí, features authentic Caribbean seafood. They even have a 46-seat movie theater under the lobby, free for guests. Tico Net is their internet café, located in the Regalame Gift Shop, and they have their own Serenity Spa. They welcome gay and straight people alike. Their two- and five-night honeymoon packages cost $1100-1800; wedding packages are also available. This luxury resort is a showcase of eco-friendly alternative technologies for saving energy and water (double-paned windows and insulated ceilings, low-voltage lighting, solar-heated jacuzzi, self-cleaning pool, graywater recycling system, etc.). Recommended.
