In San Antonio de Belén, just south of the airport, is built in the style of a colonial coffee hacienda. The stone arches, wrought-iron balconies, tiled roofs and mosaic staircases, the spacious courtyard, carved furniture and tapestries, and the small chapel are a welcome relief from the boring or pretentious architecture of most large hotels. The Marriott has four restaurants, 15 conference rooms, a convention center, pools, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis courts, golf-practicing course, an amphitheater, and a heliport. A taxi from the airport takes 5 to 15 minutes. The Marriott also has its less-expensive Courtyard Hotel on the Prospero Fernandez Highway. Recommended.
