One of the best experiences I've ever had in Costa Rica is just up the coast from Nosara in Ostional where you can observe mass nesting of Olive Ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea) sea turtles with up to 20,000 turtles coming ashore in events locally referred to as arribadas (arrivals).
