We may have done the only bike tour ever through Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuge. We rode to Los Chiles (where we survived the night of the lepus, but that’s another story altogether) then chartered a boat, loaded up our bikes and spent the day on a guided tour of the Río Frío and Lago, through the Wildlife refuge to Caño Negro village where we could get back on our bikes.
